I like Gorges but I feel there is nothing that he brings that Tinnordi can not bring to the team except experience and he is at a stage of his development where he needs the icetime to develop his own level of experience.

I get that he wants to exercise his rigths, I would to if this is the case I would still expect to be traded.

Negotiation doesn't mean that everyone gets a good deal. Gorges got too much money per year and he obtained a ridiculously long term for a player of his calibre. On top of that, he got a NTC.

Gauthier overrated Gorges, it's as simple as that. Gauthier may have though that it was good deal, but it wasn't. The contract is amazing for Gorges though.
