I've come to the conclusion that Sheehan is kind of lazy sometimes.Nice signing. I like Archie.
Sheahan has struggled recently. I'm not as sure about re-signing him
One of these players is a third line winger who can and probably should score between 10-15 goals every year. He's quick, he can play up the roster. He's a good find.
The other is a dime a dozen 4th line centre who isn't actually that good at faceoffs, nor is he that special defensively, but because he's now associated with Archibald - is a risk to sign an inflated deal.
A smart GM signs this deal for Archibald and then low-balls Sheahan. You can replace everything he does for less a million dollars every year in free agency. That's why he was there to sign in September.
good deal I think
has great wheels, hits, and some good hands for a bottom 6 forward
Archibald feels like a fourth line version of Todd Marchant.
so I like this signing a lot. Cheap guy who you don’t mind up on any line for a small stretch.
Marchant was a bit better offensively, and anticipated breaks better but Archie is more physical. Good signing. This has been a solid player for us. I liked this signing from the start. Good to get him resigned.
I would take Sheahan/Archie on my 3rd line for the next two years. They are the perfect duo to bring new players and young guys in with. I really liked them with Benson.I've come to the conclusion that Sheehan is kind of lazy sometimes.
Good signing.
I love both guys but they are not ideal third line guys. Sheahan is a good player but you can see now how much the third line minutes have taken a toll on him. Prime PK/4th line minutes is ideal for Sheahan. Archibald can play up on a third line, but I think he is best suited to a 4th line.I would take Sheahan/Archie on my 3rd line for the next two years. Still think we get a 3c in the summer and keep Sheahan on the 4th line
