Enjoy retirement, John! And as a previous poster said, great article in the Players' Tribune. A likeable goon leaves the stage as an All-star. :handclap:

Time to go make use of the engineering degree he put the hours into earning. Though, as others have said I'm sure he'll end up around the league in some capacity.

Congratulations on a full NHL career, Mr. Scott!

I'd gladly take him on the Canucks right now. He can't be much worse than the crap in our bottom-6 and at least he is entertaining and a nice guy.

A terrific hockey player and most of all an inspiration to others.

I always liked him. He was the toughest man in the league for awhile. He knew his role, but never played dirty. A great man of the people.

I can't think of a player currently in the league I like more than John Scott.

Much thanks for everything, John.

Last year's ASG was the most entertaining of any ASG I've ever watched and he definitely had a huge role in making it an overwhelming success. Good luck to him in the next stage of life.

This.

Hope the best for him.. hell, at least write a book - I'd buy.

What people forget is, he used to be a pretty decent up and coming defenseman, solid in his own zone. For a 'useless plug' he always had enough talent to start his career, the fighting just took it higher
