The Habs aren’t in the running for AP. They don’t have the cap space and right now they need a scoring winger.

0% AP
Habs can accommodate a $9.5M AAV and structure a heavy bonus laden contract per Pietrangelo’s liking. Net cap effect of AP - Petry is $4M, that still leaves significant $ to spend for a winger.

It’s not going to happen, but Habs can absolutely fit Pietrangelo.

No it doesn’t, They won’t even be able to sign Max at 4mil. Max is an RFA that needs to be signed or moved. They are not going to move out Petry & Max just to sign AP and get some guy on FA to replace Domi for 4 mil.

AP or no AP, Domi & one of Kulak/Mete (perhaps even both) are gonzo. Habs presently sit at $11M+ w Alzner in AHL.

Like Pietranglelo can't tell the difference between a JBow and a Edmundson....

Unless they got a bromance, a Joel Edmundson is not going to sway a Pietrangelo.

Newsflash: word gets around the league fast. For an outsider, Pietrangelo will get a quick list of Bergy's biggest hits, which includes:
Calling Subban Michael Del Zotto
Trading Subban for Weber
Playing hardball with Andrei Markov
"If you want loyalty, buy a dog" to Radulov.
Seeing Johnathan Drouin being pumped up as our best winger while Phillip Danault is our so-called #1.
Being a subordinate to Shea Weber because Bergy and Clode loves Shea THAT much.

Knowing Bergy, the offer to Pietrangelo will be too little and thus be dead on arrival.
Why are you including trading Subban for Weber? Weber is 10000000000 times the player Subban is.

Terrible contract for a terrible player. He's a massive downgrade on Kulak (who he's replacing) and in a year will be seen as Alzner 2.0 (if he's not already thought of as that). If Bergevin can't learn from his mistakes he needs to go.
Ya ya.....and we were told Chiarot was a more expensive Benn.....blah blah blah.....

I love how you state your claim as though it was already fact lol

:biglaugh:

Trading Subban for Weber....??....like what does that have to do with anything??? Comparing Subban to Del Zotto.....like anyone noticed or cares

I’m sure every player is aware of all this and have placed an X on the Habs because of it

your post is ridiculous and quite frankly childish lol

only a fan fan can come up with this stuff

You're being very naive. Word gets around. Pretty sure most of the players have heard of those. As if reputations don't exist. All that is left as a reputation is doling out LT contracts to scrubs. They know Bergy likes them and they come in droves, willingly like "Jewel".

Well there is a 0% chance the habs offer him 15M
No there isn’t.....they can offer 15m$ and trade players away and go with 3 D that make minimum wage.....or they can offer him 11m$......is it impossible that he accepts a 77m$ 7yr contract with Habs??

Point is there’s not a 0% chance he signs here as that would mean it would be impossible and that’s surely not the case.

Improbable is more likely, but impossible.....don’t think so

Sounds more like HF talk then NHL player talk......I’m sure NHL players are thinking about the Subban/Weber trade as they ponder signing a contract here.....to believe this is pretty naive.

Every team has dirt, or a GM saying a stupid thing, or a disgruntled player that leaves on bad terms.....it’s just that at HF Habs, we believe this type of behaviour is exclusive to us.

Red herring. Stop being childish. The other poster's examples expressed onr thing: REPUTATION. So the player won't be thinking about one specific event like you childishly tried to portray, but rather like in any profession, what he will have heard from other players, his peers, is what he will think about, and his reputation does have to do with the items he listed.

Stop talking about being naive when you completely disregard the impact of those events on reputation, which was the point.

You completely miss what is obvious.

Listen Jaff... think about a management type in your profession, someone who has a reputation. Another pilot tells you something about him, it reinforces his reputation. Next time you talk to the manager, you'll definitely think about those hints from other collegues?
