Heinola has been a beast in Liiga pre-season. Easily at the top in D scoring and almost 70% CF. It's just pre-season, but it's encouraging.

I'll take the B version of Heiskanen, but if Heinola gets stronger and faster, he could be a really strong top-4 D. Maybe he's Enstrom 2.0. That would be fine, too. With all the talk of Dumba, it's easy to lose sight of the strength of the Jets D pipeline, with Samberg, Heinola, Gawanke, Kovacevic, Chisholm, etc. I think Samberg and Heinola would already improve the Jets' D considerably.

Interesting stat lines. The passed the puck successfully 93% is what stands out about him. If we want to move the play forward, he's the right guy to do it. Of course time and space are different in the NHL, but vision is probably one of his best assets.

From the little I have seen of him this year he looks so much more confident handling the puck and moving it.

Arvid Holm saved 40/43 (0.930) in his first SEL game. He might be really good.

Good to hear but that was not a concern I had for him. I'm only really worried about the strength of his skating stride.

Has anyone heard anything on Simon Lundmark?
Do we see him coming over to the Moose any time soon?

Good to hear but that was not a concern I had for him. I'm only really worried about the strength of his skating stride.

It'll be interesting to see how his skating develops. He is so often in the right place at or even before the right time that I'm not too worried about his skating, though I expect to see gains in his power and stamina as he gets stronger and starts adapting to a pro training regime. But his vision and anticipation are so good that I think his all-round mobility will compensate for any shortfalls as his body catches up to his mind. So much fun to watch.

I don't think he was in the lineup for his SEL team in their first game. Healthy scratch? Injury?

He's been playing LD, but his style has him shifting over to the R side during the run of play.

They also may not want him to play on the big ice and unlearn all the good habits he was learning on the small ice this past year.

I think at this point that any play is better than absolutely zero play
