Sometimes it doesn't actually matter WHAT you say, only what kind of BANG it initiates. And you know what? I doubt TheFappening will hurt anyones career even a little bit. And you know what? I'm ready to bet money that behind closed doors, a lot of PR agents are already thinking about how they can "accidentally" drop some really nice, good looking, sexy pics of their client and then pretend that those evil internet people did it.

But how long do you think it has any effect at all? 1 week? 2 weeks? 4 weeks?
and speaking about The Fappening again: There is no way anyone will speak or think about it come Christmas - maybe even come Thanksgiving. Short sighted effects work very well if it's on the internet, because the internet IS short sighted in pretty much everything it does or talks about.

Gotcha, I thought you meant that it was a good idea for promoting feminism or ragging on the oppression of women. Cause people on my Facebook feed is saying that the patriarchy is to blame for the threats against Emma Watson. I didn't get any response when I pointed out that it was a hoax.
Also, The Fappening sounds like an awesome porn parody.
Actually, people are starting to leave 4chan, because they don't like the owner. I've never really been on that website though. I don't like the way it looks.

The fact that they're calling for the US government to completely remove a website on the internet is so wrong, and is the opposite direction that the internet needs to go.
I don't condone what those hackers did to the celebrities, but it would've happened with or without 4chan, and the internet needs to be a free place instead of being full of restrictions like the telecom companies want.
If we lose internet freedom look out because a lot of crap would go down afterwards.

Words get censored whether they're in the body of the post or within a URL. Easiest way to kill the R links.
