I like to think that the Queen is a Jets fan

Of course she is, she saw every Jets 1.0 home game for years!

reading between the lines, it sounds like Poolman has, in the very least, a moderate case of COVID.

also a reminder to those who think COVID isn't that bad: when a world-class athlete who we HOPE was taking precautions ends up with COVID and doesn't bounce back immediately, you know that you should be smart and mask up and not hang inside people's homes.
we have no clue if this will cause long-term cardiac or pulmonary damage to Poolman or anyone else who got it.

Hoping that VANs 3 game series with OTT didn't wake them up, like it did for us. Hoping for a clean 2 points and continue to remain invisible near the top of the standings as far as the media is concerned - most likely to finish below the Sens? gtfo of here.

We're seeing more cases of long covid now than at any time in the past year, according to a colleague who is an infectious-diseases specialist, and has been dealing with it on the wards and now in clinic. It is serious and the relative dearth of gold-standard research and info makes it a bit of a time-bomb going forward, especially since it is emerging in lower-risk pops who have generally been able to cope with the initial run of the disease. Relatively little attention paid to it in the general Covid chaos, but another strong argument for taking care (and not pooching the vax rollouts).

Good luck to the Pool Man. Worked hard to make the show from a long way back, and now in tough again.

I don't usually like to wish teams failure, but I just hope the Oilers keep plummeting. They're the surprise faller to me.
I hope they throw in the towel early and sucede. It'll make all our lives easier

Love the idea of Perfetti getting some time around the team, experience, exposure. But from what we saw at the WJHC he is not physically ready for the NHL yet. He lost close to every puck battle at the junior event and would be rag-dolled in the NHL.

He's a hell of a newspaper delivery boy though. :naughty:

How’s Gustafsson looked? Is he going to bounce from roster to taxi squad most of the year or has he been solidifying a role for himself?

Your pic didn't show for me, but I see where a few notable players have worn or wear that number. I don't know how or why people commit this stuff to memory. I even have to think for a bit when people post Jets line combos using just the numbers. Other teams' players? Fuggedaboutit.

I think some folks are selectively wired for integer recall.

Why are there different rules for different people?
PLD has to be quarantine for 14 days take 4 tests to be cleared but travelers coming into Canada will only "be required to take one COVID-19 test and quarantine in a designated hotel for three days ".

Thought the same thing, Poolman is probably Covid positive, what's with those from MN and ND, seem way more susceptible to it!

I think it's fine if NHL is more on the cautious side. Plenty of Jets' players are hot right now, the team should be fine without PLD for now. And when PLD joins the team it might even have a negative impact at first if PoMo breaks Stastny line.

i mean...either him or Dubois will be in the press box. not sure which one
I didn’t really think he was a top 6 centre, but I thought maybe he’d be able to take over a bottom 6 role. But I get the point, thanks!
