That's Wheeler money, is it not? I suppose the cap going up takes pay with it, so it seems reasonable but do we slot him in as a first line player? Kane's making $5.2

He can be a first line player IMO. Really depends on what the definition a 1st line player is. Not in the mold of Crosby, Toews, etc. But those guys are also getting (or are going to get) much more than 5.5. Plus, the Jets don't really roll as a top heavy team, so getting multiples in that range (like the Wheelers, etc) is a pretty good strategy IMO.

IMO, ROR at 5.5 on a long term deal is good (to me) out of the gate, and only gets better and better as the years go on.

I don't think he's available though.

Also, I keep getting excied when going to tsn.ca seeing the Jets jersey on the front page

R.O.R is an excellent 2 way player. Looks to be about a 60 point guy this year. (is only 23 and getting better it seems)

I'd have no problem with 5.5 or 6 if it came to that. I really doubt Colorado entertains moving him though
