terrible might be a bit strong, but leaves something to be desired... Most guys aren't too talkative or eloquent as it is, not to mention the typical questions they face... and his interpreting doesn't help to liven things up that's for sure.

Losing Motte is huge. The loss of speed alone.

Motte-Rooney-Kakko would be a really interesting, defensively responsible fourth (or third) line if this team is fully healthy.

I don't think many were saying he's overpaid. I think almost everyone wished the contract was longer, given the AAV he received after a small sample size (just about a season's worth of games).

Filip looks better than he did pre-wrist injury during the "no fans" year. He and Goodrow have that 3rd line humming whether its Laf or Kakko on the other wing

We were so far behind Carolina and Calgary was the only team out west better. Amazing how we caught them both, especially Carolina. Guess that is what 6 goals in 7 games will do for you. Talk about playing tight, stingy, shutdown PO hockey. Fine tuning as the players like to say.
