He's earned his 9-game stint. Let's see if he earns the rest of the season.
f*** yeah!I hope he blows the ****in doors off the place lol. We're due, aren't we?
Ya I think he gained 10 pounds so EP is 170 right now which is still super lean for 6’2”. Goes to show Europe might now be the best place to gain mass either compared to having the elite trainers he’d have with the Habs. But MB said what he’s going to do. Said if J2K starts to feel the pressure or gets homesick he’ll return to Finland. But if he just needs to work on a few things, the habs will work something out to send him to Laval.Yeah but Kotkaniemi is also taller and shown he falls down a lot during physical confrontations. I don't even think Pettersson is all that bigger from last year either.
170 at 6'2? That's pretty freaking light.Ya I think he gained 10 pounds so EP is 170 right now which is still super lean for 6’2”. Ya dude is a twig- but also a ridiculous talent.170 at 6'2? That's pretty freaking light.
What’s a realistic expectant point total? I think 40 or so if he plays the whole year?

I agree, they are/were very different types of prospects. Pettersson is a sublime offensive wizard, who's built like Keira Knightley. J2K is going to be much more of that "big" and "two-way" top 6 center type (once he fills out), albeit with great offensive talent himself.I don't think Pettersson will ever have a lot of weight to him. He's got a small frame, pretty sure that's why he went lower than his skill level. Kotka should be able to put on a fair bit.
Weight will come but I don't think it's a great idea to have him in the NHL while he's that light.Ya dude is a twig- but also a ridiculous talent.
Weight isn't everything, it's not even an indication of strength...I don't think Pettersson will ever have a lot of weight to him. He's got a small frame, pretty sure that's why he went lower than his skill level. Kotka should be able to put on a fair bit.

Wayne Simmonds is one tough dude and he's not even 200lbs
Finland's national public broadcasting company had an NHL special on the radio a few days ago. They had some of Finland's most prominent hockey journalists and pundits discussing the upcoming season. Tuomas Nyholm said that he hasn't seen any of Jesperi's preseason games but according to all the info he has this kid is definitely not NHL ready. According to the panel the only other NHL teams where he might get to play already are Ottawa and Chicago.
A year ago this same radio program told us that Henrik Haapala is definitely ready for the NHL and not too small at all.
17 points, but he'll be a heck of a checker lemme tell yaWhat’s a realistic expectant point total? I think 40 or so if he plays the whole year?

I think as long as CJ rolls 4 lines, he has skilled wingers to play with, and is getting a little 2nd unit PP time, 40 points should be the minimum- otherwise he wasn’t ready.17 points, but he'll be a heck of a checker lemme tell ya

That’s what I’m hoping for.He was on a 50 points pace in preseason, so basically something similar

40 is the low end conservative estimation. 50 to me is the point where he’s exceeded expectations. Over 50 and he’s probably thought of in a similar light to Nico Hischier in a year...Whole year with Drouin and domi/lek and PP time ? I can't see him making less than 45, My guess is 55
