The female translator almost lost it at Yvan's mention of keeping that rose. Damn lump in my throat now...

That's actually my favourite church in Montreal. It stands out so much on Rene-Levesque st, next to hotels and office buildings.
I've walked in and just sat there quietly a few times.
Be honest, who hasn't teared up?

When my dad was a younger man years ago he was buying a case of Labatts in La Malbaie, as he was getting ready to pay for it this big man (Mr. Beliveau) says (in French) let me buy that for you, it is rare that I meet men my size! My father is 80 and he loves to tell that story!
When I was 10 he woke me up and says..Beliveau scored 3 goals including his 500th! I have never forgotten that! Jean Beliveau IS the reason my father became such a huge Habs fan and he passed that on to me and my brother!
I must say, the montage they replayed last night from the Bell Centre was very moving. The song was very emotional and very beautiful. I'm not sure who that was, but it was very fitting.
The images shown, again, very well done. What a life he lived.
We have lost an icon in this country.

If it was the montage on the 'jumbotron' - I believe that was Ginette Reno. Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone...
