We’re a predictable group. Also, “should have gotten a good vet backup instead of DeSmith.” I think that will be the most reasonable discussion we’ll see. Jarry is a young goalie, the team can be lazy as hell defensively, etc. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him struggle as being The Guy next season without being an outright disaster.

Solid deal, looking forward to seeing who or what the next dumb goaltender argument here will be about.

I'm going to miss Matt Murray.

Solid deal, about what everyone expected in terms of term and annual cap hit.

Don't make me despise you even more JR by trading for Fleury...

Very good deal. Jarry should be able to outperform his salary here. If he plays up to this contract, then it's kind of a disappointment. So yeah, great value here.

Would you do a MAF (retained) for JJ ?
Cap wise, it would work if Fleury is at 50% but I don’t want him back only because I can’t stand the flock of Fleury fans.

Fleury ($3.50)
Stephenson RFA
For
Johnson ($3.25)
Aston-Reese ($1.0)

send DeSmith down to WBS saves $1.075

so Pens Cap space would be $4.46 with Stephenson, Simon and Lafferty to sign while also having to sign another D Since they usually carry 8.

Guentzel Crosby Kapanen
Zucker Malkin Rust
Stephenson McCann Simon
Tanev Blueger Sceviour
Lafferty

Dumoulin Letang
Pettersson Marino
Matheson Riikola
Ruhwedel
