Trade him before its too late!

imo it would already be too late to get good value for him, again though as I said above it's impossible for any of us to know what any players trade value really is as only the 29 other GM's know for sure. But with his struggles in the NHL this year, his inconsistent play in the AHL and being out for perhaps the rest of the season all factors that I would assume hurt his value. At this point the Habs should wait and see how he does at camp and see if they can find someone like Gonchar to work him like they did with Beaulieu.

Best trade idea regarding Tinner would be for another prospect who I'd also struggling. . . Change of scenery type trade.

No. Best thing we can do it send him to Edmonton along with Fucale and Emelin for Yakupov or Draisitl

Look at Pateryn, coming into his own at 24. Glad we never let him go...let's keep Tinordi too.

Just imagine how big our lineup might be in a couple years...and that's assuming we don't re-sign Petry (though I would love it if we did)

Subban - Beaulieu
Emelin - Tinordi
Gilbert - Pateryn

That's the type of defence that would indicate we are taking. Subban, Emelin and pressbox fodder.

Just met him at the casino tonight. Damn he's tall, but not ''that'' big.

Note : There was also Thomas, Hudon, Bournival and Lernout

You think that top 6 is tank-worthy?

It's a matured Beaulieu, Tinordi and Pateryn...I'm not talking next year, more like 3 years time.

You are projecting an awful lot if you think that is going to be good.

Yuu have two guys who haven't shown they can be effective in the NHL yet in Beaulieu and Pateryn. You have Gilbert who is trash, and you have Tinordi who is heavily leaning toward bust right now.

That top 6 would indicate we are straight up tanking or the three prospects showed a level of improvement they have not illustrated they are capable of.

It is far more likely 3 years from now that all 3 have flamed out of the NHL entirely than all 3 of them being effective NHLers. If even one of them becomes a legit top 4 dman in the next 3 years it would constitute a a big success.

I don't think Gilbert is bad for a #5...we've mostly seen him in the top 4 and even at that he's been OK (deffs not spectacular). I'm not sure how you're saying we haven't seen anything NHL worthy from Beaulieu, the guy has almost so much skill (skating, passing, backchecking) and he's tough...his IQ is a little low but once he smartens up with more experience he can solidify himself as a top 4 (and maybe top 2).

Tinordi is the only one that I might be reaching on here

If Gilbert is still on this team in 3 years... I think we'll have bigger problems to worry about

I don't think Gilbert is a bad bottom pairing guy...we've mostly seen him in the top 4 and he's held it down (half the times). He's pretty much the typical bottom pairing guy, he's just been used improperly by MT.

Beaulieu has shown flashes, my argument was more that he hasn't shown he can be a regular contributor yet. He has shown NHL ability, and he is the only one of the 3 that I feel has top 4 potential at this point, but I fear given his slow development that he may be destined for more of a bottom pairing puck moving role than a top 4 producer.

If Gilbert is still on the team in 3 years that would simply constitute a failure of management to find somebody better. If he is still on the team in 3 years and is the best of those 4 then that is even worse.

well that's what I would expect if he struggles to show anything at camp since they won't sent him down. But then again management gave Leblanc away which I thought was a bit of an odd gamble as a 5th rounder would have been something but I would have kept him and risked losing him for nothing to see if he could rebound although for that plan I would have fired Lefebvre first. But we'll see what they do with Tinordi as his size alone should give him more value then Leblanc had as he really struggled his last 2 seasons.

The problem with those change of scenery moves usually don't pan out too well although you never know as for some they just need a kick in the pants to get going and in the case of Tinordi it would be a must over risking losing him for nothing on waivers.

Oilers already said they won't trade Yakupov, I don't really think he's the kind of player the Habs should target, MT would hate him I'd wager. Don't see why the Oilers would trade Draisitl, I don't know much about him and I don't know what they are even doing over there but to me if you are one of the worst teams in the NHL and McDavid in on the way, I would be looking to keep the young assets and look at improving the development system (not saying there's an issue or not as I don't follow the team at all other then when we play them) but something is clearly very wrong over there.

I think Tinordi is traded this offseason. Just a feeling. If its to improve the team's offense, it would be hard not to listen.

It's possible, but with his struggles this year I just don't see too many teams willing to give up too much as they know he's got to clear waivers and the Habs are in a tough spot if he struggles at camp. Clearly improving the offense would be great, and who knows what kind of package can be put together along with Tinordi, just that I think his value would be at it's lowest.

Just met him at the casino tonight. Damn he's tall, but not ''that'' big.

He needs to fill out his lower body strength for sure.

I just got my first views of Lernout, he looked skinner then I was expecting.

Tinordi will absolutely not be traded this off season. Beaulieu unfortunately for him is now injured has not won a regular position. Weaver, Gonchard are most probably out. Emelin is not a lock. Petry has to be signed!! Tiner can crack the linuep next season if he comes in with the right mind set. He is still young.

Emelin: if Petry signs...can Emelin and his $4.1mil/year contract be traded to 1 out of 10 teams on his list next season? (as part of his NTC/NO TRADE CLAUSE CONTRACT...10 teams? or is this only starting in January 2016?).

Petry: really hope he's signed to a 4-5 yr contract. We need a top 3 dman, especially that Markov is unreliable in playoffs...as usual (I don't care about his 50pts during the regular season...I really don't... I care about playoff warriors because I want a CUP for our HABS). We need more more playoff warrior dmen. Period.

Tinordi:
I really really hope he gets the green light next season as our #5-6dman and does super well. Two words...patience and confidence (the coach has to let him make some mistakes sometimes and still play him...the coach does it often with Markov and Emelin, so why not with Tinordi...).

Weaver:
he was a warrior for us last playoff season...he can still help us this palyoff season as a #6...you never know. He was amazing at blocking shots last season. He may still have some gas in him. Next season...some other team will take him for a 2yr contract...I hope.
I hope we won't have to use him in these playoffs, but if we do...I trust that he can give us 12min+ of warrior hockey, especially on the PK.

Gonchar...Gone-char:
happy he mentored Beaulieu...Beaulieu will take his spot next season as a leftie #4-5-6 dman.

Lol at people wanting to trade Emelin before grenade puck Tinordi.

Not nice/polite to ''LOL at people''...;), it's just your opinion VS another person's opinion. You're not more important than the next person...we're all Hab fans with similar and different opinions...rooting for the same team!!;)

Some or many say here (due to the CAP) that IF Petry can be signed we may need to make room by unloading Emelin.

Some here want to see Tinordi get a full green light...I wouldn't trade Tinordi and I'm sure I'm not the only one. We need to get better and bigger/taller/meaner (Tinordi, McCarron, Scherbak, Lernout, etc). Why get smaller again?? Why?!

I want bigger/taller/better/tougher players to protect our Gallagher and Hudon (near future Hab) and Scherbak (tall/skilled).

I have friends that have season tickets to the Dogs. They watch him a lot and they all have the same conclusion. Get whatever you can for him.
He's a decent skater. With throw his weight around. Does not know how to pick his spots to scrap. Handles the puck like a grenade and makes some pretty bad defensive zone plays/coverage.

Next year it should be.
