Hey guys, sorry if this has already been a thread. I went back three or four pages and didn't see it, so here it is.

I'm sure you've already been pestered by more than a few Flames fans, but mind giving me your opinion of how Iginla has been through the first ten games?

I see purely from stats that he's meshed well with Lucic assist wise, but his shooting percentage is abnormally low at 6.9%.

He has been fantastic.

Typical Iggy-slow scoring start, but he fits into Krejci and Lucic's line perfectly. I expect 25-30 goals out of him and a good plus minus. I just wish we got him sooner.

Other than a 5-3 where he missed the net multiple times, he's been great. I LOVE having Iggy on the Boston Bruins.

He's been excellent from the get go. Much quicker and more physical than I expected. Hasn't found the touch on his shot yet. Getting chances though. Having a horse like Lucic on his opposite wing will make it easier on him now that he doesn't have to be that guy.

Have been more than impressed with his all around game. With Krejci and Lucic entering their prime and geared for big seasons I see Iginla having a big season as well.

I would not be surprised to see Iggy with 25-30G and around 70 points.

He is an upgrade over Horton in my opinion. I liked Horton but seemed to take plenty of nights off. So far, Iggy seems to bring it every night.

Love the signing and hope he is here for a couple years after this year!

Love the guy. Much quicker than I expected; smart with the puck; you can see his scoring will come. As someone else wrote, bug upgrade over Horton.

Glad to hear. In Calgary in later years, he did have nights off, but then again all of our vets did more often then not. That's why you'll hear Flames fans raving about the culture change.

I think for Iggy its the hunger for the Cup that could help him stay motivated all season, or hopefully for most of it.

Thanks guys! I'll come back every ten games or so for updates :)

He's been great so far, so as long as he brings it in the playoffs I'd say he's an upgrade over Horton.

Not just that one 5 on 3. He misses the net a bit too much with those heavy slap shots. That's my only complaint though. I've been happy with him. Still probably would have preferred Horton. But I'm not complaining.

You know, I wasn't sure I would like iggy on Boston, but man was I wrong! I can't "B" elieve how he has meshed with his line. He's faster then I thought, really smart with puck and has figured out the system and his place in it quick! I really, really like him.

Yeah I think he has been great. He loves to shoot haha, and I really like that. He fired like 5 one timers on a single PP once, and while none went in, thats ten times better than the typical Bruins "look for the perfect shot" PP. I'm sure most Bruins fan remember this gem from last year

Not a fan of old players but he's been a big upgrade over Horton and looks like he'll be everything we hoped for.

It helps too that he doesn't have to be THE guy in Boston. People expect more from his line mates than they do from him. If he takes a night off, I don't think too many people around here would notice.

I love him. Absolutely perfect fit on this team and on his line.

If the first 5-8 games were his notorious slow start, I'm guessing he's only going to be liked more... Pretty good for a slow start. The LKI line has been so dominant and it doesn't look like it's going to stop.

Iginla is definitely not at the same level during his prime years, understandably. However,he still seems capable of being a top 6 forward.Initially I was a little unimpressed but he is coming around.I am not sure if it is wise for him to be as physical as he has been considering he is in the twilight of his career but he certainly is competing hard.

The guy was born to be a Bruin. Shame it took him so long to get here. Still can't help but wonder what might have been if he'd have come just one year sooner. Glad to have him now, he's a pleasure to watch!

Yes exactly what I was going to say. Jarome Iginla was born to be a Bruin, no doubt. He is the reason why our 1st line has had so much success this early on in the season. What does Lucic have now, 6 goals and 5 assists. David K has 12 points. He has inspired these guys, and its been a pleasure to watch. Oh and Iginla is 10 times better than Horton, oh yes!! It is a pleasure watching him play, especially in Black n Gold!

He scores goals, he's tough, he skates, hustles, plays defense, passes, fights. The guy makes plays!!! Hasn't disappeared once yet. (Horton) Hope they lock him up for another year or 2. The man is durable, has hardly ever missed games from injury throughout his whole career.
