Btw Gomez has got 3 points in the game. 11 points in 17 games, -8 though. Still.. that's like elite #'s for Gomez. Is Gomez paired with Jagr on 5vs5 and on the PP? If so... he's padding Gomez' stats. If you can get Gomez to score more than 1 goal you should get the Art Ross Trophy.
Gomez is playing well. Having Jagr on his line isn't the reason he has 11 points.

Gomez had a sick assist on Jagr's third goal. He has looked like he never left NJ at this point, has easily been our best forward since being brought back on.

Him and Jagr have played great together. Which is weird because didn't he and Jagr not have much chemistry with the Rangers? If I remember the situation correctly, didn't Jagr want to play with Nylander instead?
Makes sense. Jagr is the greatest European player in NHL history, Lidstrom is next in line.

Or Florida or San Jose...Jagr is the reason gomez is serviceable at this point.

Not at all. I don't know if you have been watching any of his games or not, but Gomez has been the Devils best passer and has been setting up chances at a higher rate than any Devil this year. Having Jagr helps as a finisher, but it's not like Jagr is doing all the work and Gomez just happened to pick up points.

Gomez is helping Jagr more than Jagr is helping Gomez. Jagr has had very long stretches of looking horrible this year. He was in the midst of one of those stretches when Gomez stepped in. Gomez has turned Jagrs game back around. I'm amazed at how well Gomez has played.
