Boston will murder this team come Sunday.
Funny, beating Boston after the 2011 SCF was kinda the beginning of the end of the Sedin era. It's when the team thought that they had cleared all obstacles and could take on anyone, only to crash out quickly and quietly in the playoffs thereafter.

Beating Boston here could have catastrophic consequences too. Aquaman thinks that it's all OK, then the team DOES play a little better but nowhere close to catchup to the playoffs teams. Then we could be stuck with Green and Benning until the end of the season. And after that I don't know how any player who wants to win something and can get out would stick around.

IMac just asked his question post game

“Travis, I think you guys played well tonight and Benning assembled a great roster. It’s more of a comment than a question … thanks.”

The Benning shilling from IMac is Baghdad Bob levels of pathetic. He's shit on so many players and of course Green, but he keeps fluffing Jimbo. Even after the back-to-back-to-back shelling, he never said Benning was under threat - the "Green-Benning" tandem was.

This game was a moral victory blow-out for the Canucks. At least 8-1. Moral victories are really all that count for this leadership team right? I expect a Moral Victory Cup banner up in the rafters next year.

Watching Marchand speedbag a Sedin with no response was when I knew it was over. Those were two different players, playing two different games.

If the owner wasn't so busy playing 'mirror mirror on the wall' he'd come to the uncomfortable realization that the 'Canuck brand' and this franchise's reputation are taking a major hit around the hockey world.

Every day and every loss that goes by without any changes, makes them look even worse. Even people well outside this market are mystified as why the hammer hasn't dropped on someone--mainly the coaching staff.

A total of 21 games into the season, and it's already over. Canucks would have to play at a .700 clip just to get back in the playoff conversation. And that ain't happening.

So what is the rest of the season about? What hope are you selling to the paying customers? How many season ticket holders are they going to lose? How can you possibly go into another off-season without making any changes, and preserve any credibility with not only the fan base but the NHL as a whole?

The answer as they say is 'blowin in the wind'....and right now it's a foul wind indeed.

Our PK is elite when we take 1 or no penalty:laugh:

This is karma for all those games we won in 2019-2020 regular season and playoffs when we got outshoot by a crazy margin and still managed to win because of Marky and Demko.

At least Bob did not really have a choice. Telling the truth would have been deadly for him.
