Thanks buddy, appreciate the support.people need a whipping boy to lay all the sins on the world on. This year they oddly picked Nico.
It's kind of like a 5 on 4 for the Sharks.
I'm really tired of the McLeod erection. The guy has all 10 of his goals in a 50 game span in the middle of his 103 or 105 NHL games. Whatever he's at now. It's enough games to certainly write him off as a bust, that's for sure.
You don't celebrate taking a faceoff/PK specialist at 12th overall. That was a legendary Conte style whiff by Shero Castron for their first ever pick.
Captain shitGotta love Nico not having the awareness to put his stick guarding the EMPTY NET.
Yea man, protect the opponent going around the boards instead. What an idiot.
The Sharknado thread was nice, would have been nice to get a win out of it.Thanks for wasting my nice GDT jerks lol.
Chalk that up to score effects since the sharks were up 4-0.They did some good things in the 3rd going with Mercer, Hischier, and Hughes running their own lines. Just an unacceptable second period.
Can Smith be sent down to the AHL? I think he needs a couple gamed down their to "rediscover" himself. If Smith didn't suck so bad this year, we probably wouldn't see as much Subban on the power play or elsewhere.
Maybe we still would though, this staff seems to give him the leash of a player we just signed a year or two ago to a 6 year deal.
He's not playing in the WHL.The kid who was so pissed to be sent back to the WHL...what happened to that Smith?
For what it’s worth, Chico and Matt saying not lack of effort in 2d, but repeated boneheaded mistakes on D leaving shooters all alone uncovered in front of Blackwood with all the time in the world. Breakdowns not lack of effort.
White has looked pretty damn good in his games hes gotten, IMOI'm seriously fine with putting Smith in Utica for a bit and rolling with white. I think the latter gives us a better chance to win
One terrible period killed us
on a side note, it seems like everyone from Zacha's draft turned out better than him
Agreed, the effort looked good. Just three significant breakdowns
He was in the right spot. It wasn’t exactly an easy reverse to pick up at all. But I do think Nico should’ve done better too. However, I also think Smith can hold onto it for a second or two longer instead of just throwing it back right away. Or he very likely could’ve gotten the net. But at least hold onto it for a little longer them give Nico a nice reverse of the boards rather than getting and just throwing it back the other way along the boards. In all honesty Nico should have been in place to get the reverse by Smith . He is supposed to give his D options to break out . What good was he where he was standing ? He has to know that if Smith reversed ut , it would be along the boards , not in the middle of nowhere . Yes Smith should have communicated that he was going to reverse it maybe ( maybe he did ? ) . It’s not all on Smith . I’d say more on Nico than Smith . Nico has to be more ready . He saw Smith under pressure snd just stands there …..
Its clearly a confidence issue; his skating isnt fluid enough to be indecisive and questioning himself. He probably has a hard time getting out of grooves. What's disappointing about Smith is he's been bad on both ends of the ice.
