You do realize grabbing a player's ankle fals under rule 7.09d, right?

Rule 7.09d said:
Any batter or runner who has just been put out, or any runner who has just scored, hinders or impedes any following play being made on a runner. Such runner shall be declared out for the interference of his teammate

The problem is, that rule is not reviewable. 6.14j (aka the Chase Utley rule) is the reviewable play here.

I love how baseball doesn't even know their own rules. Deliberate interference is not reviewable per the rules. So why they would come back and say that's why it was overturned I have no clue, they're not allowed to overturn it for that reason.

Now Jose did break slide rule 3 by not staying on the base which is reviewable, so even without the explaination that they're not allowed to use in the first part there the call still gets overturned.

But it would be really nice if MLB knew their own rules sometimes.
