Look at the heat map, tell me which team dominated the game:

What? The team that doesnt force point shots maybe, the one way more active in the slot?

And no those are not the same with different colour scheme.

Yeah, how does one not notice that the Flyers' map is far more spread out than the Jets' map despite having comparable shots?

The far side of the circle isn't an ideal shooting angle, but the Flyers took a good chunk of shots there while WPG didn't. The Flyers habitually take those poor angle shots.

Even their point shots are at least at the top of the slot, ours are...oh right, the perimeters again. Those charts aren't close to identical.

This is typical of Hakstol's system. It's arguably the biggest reason he's a failure, even more so than a mismanaged roster. A mismanaged roster playing a productive NHL system will do better than even a well managed roster playing towards futility on the outside. Hakstol actually combines mismanagement with a nonfunctional system.

He also gets routinely slaughtered in the matchup game within the game. That's a big factor too IMO.

Beef they are the same since there is just a decent size dark color circle near the net. Deadhead loves to use statistics for his argument and then just uses them poorly.

There's no way to ignore on that heat map that The Jets took more shots from the slot than the circles. Look at all the white showing in the circles vs the Flyers' side. It's day and night.

This is a typical Hakstol cycle for the forwards. Two guys along the boards trying to set up a guy in the circle. Not a guy in the slot. If that's not there then it goes back to the point for a shot from miles away. Sometimes a guy along the boards has possession and skates into the circle to shoot, or if they're TK/V they go for a nice long skate to shoot from the opposite circle.

Once they've settled into this it's rare to see guys in the slot in shooting position. Most of those chances only come in transition, before they've settled into this. Aside from the rush, a lot of effort is wasted setting up low quality chances. This is far more common than TK's goal against Buffalo.
