It's rather disapointing that Dal Colle needs the players you mention for him to produce. I almost hope he does not make team Canada, and that would be what he needs to light a fire under is ass like Todd Bertuzzi back in 1995 (he went on to be the best player in the CHL after not been selected by team Canada).

If we had a team that with no play-makers and he'd have to carry play, like he does now i would be more worried. We have so many players that can get him the puck when he comes to the nhl, like Tavares, Strome, Bailey, and Frans if he resigns. If that's what he needs so be it, as long as he can snipe and pass it shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully, he will get traded to a better team or if he is not traded play in the AHL after the OHL regular season and learn our system before next season.

Could be that we shouldn't worry so much about MDC's remaining time in Oshawa. Let's see what team trades for him and gets MDC back to doing what he does best, focus in his goal scoring. He's not a physical grinding type player and that's the style Oshawa played on their way to the Memorial Cup.This may be crazy but it may have taken some away what he does best and he needs to get back to it.

Luckily last summer we drafted Barzal and Beauvillier who are both dynamic players and make others around them better. MDC isn't that kind of player and we knew that going into the draft. With some of the players the Islanders have, if MDC is good enough and works on weak areas there will be a role he can play as a finisher. That is what we want to see after the trade.

Could be wrong about this (would hardly be the first time) just what to see what you think.
