Don't really want to see the Tavares Stromes and Barzals fight but having an edge and dropping the gloves every now and then is necessary.

Barzal seems to def play with an edge. I know we hate the guy around here but he reminds me of Giroux

Mathew "secondary assist" Barzal has a nice ring to it.

My uncle was at the game in Quebec City, have to check in with him and see what he says.
I watch most of the game last night. Beauvillier was very impressive. He seems to be the complete package, very strong two way play. After scoring the tying goal late in the game (with a slap shot ala Mike Bossy), he made a huge defensive play to prevent the opponent from scoring with less than 45 seconds left.

Thanks for the report, listened to the game while watching Isles-Blues. Beauvillier as you mentioned looks like the complete package, he does everything. My uncle has season tickets to the Remparts and sees everyone play in the league so he is familiar with all the players. It was during last season when Shawinigan was visiting Quebec he told me about Beauvillier and was so impressed.

Dynamo MsK 2, CSKA 1 (SO)-Sorokin, 17 saves, 18 shots.

Watched a few minutes of that game last night and just as i switched it on the announcers were talking about how Sorokin is now considered one of the best if not the best goalie in the KHL. Is it possible we finally drafted an elite goalie?

Now we just have to make sure he comes over when his deal's up.

Well obviously MDC is under-performing. But Wotherspoon has 21 points in 25 games as a D-man. Nice to see he is progressing. I think MVD will be a late bloomer when it is his time to reach the NHL. Thank goodness we have we have Pelech, Mayfield and others waiting in the wings so these guys won't get rushed along.

Can a mod please fix the prospect banner near the top of the screen that now says " Ryan Strome, Griffin Reinhart, Michael Dal Colle"...

It's been a long while since Reinhart is gone and Strome is no longer a prospect. Not a big deal, it's just the OCD in me.

Would look much better (and not just plain wrong) with Michael Dal Colle, Matthew Barzal, Ryan Pulock, etc...

I'm not happy to see that Wotherspoon has the worst +/- by far on the team's D.

But boy does that goalie tandem look awful...

Thanks for that Charlie. But the stats does not seem up to date. Beauvillier for exemple has 40 points in 20 games.

People can make themselves feel at least a little better tonight knowing that Barzal has a couple goals tonight.

And that's through 2 periods. Nice to see him scoring some goals. Slowly crawling up that point leader chart.

More later

McAdam having a fantastic season so far. Nice to see. You have to figure between Sorokin, Soderstrom, McAdam, Williams, Gibson & Koskinen, hopefully someone out of that group winds up being a good NHL goalie.
