I don't get Colorado being interested.

Rebuilding Avs target in his prime winger. I don't even know what Sakic is doing.

May not be a right fit for the Avs but I don't get all the hate on eberle. Maybe I don't watch enough games but he was a + player this year with 51 points. Overpaid by about 2-3 million but not a horrible player

He would have been their second highest scorer this past season.

They do need players that are going to score some.

But if you are rebuilding you don't really need Eberle.
His remaining prime years would get wasted and you probably don't want to re-sign him in few years time.

Avs need help everywhere in their lineup, there's a reason they barely won 20 games last season. That entire roster is a disaster, they could use some more skill up front.

if somehow a package that is for the most part Eberle for Barrie turns into a trade HFboards will be silenced.

Makes little sense for the AVs? They want to get younger and he is 27 years old. RNH is a better option being 24 and played with Mackinnon at the WCH.

Jordan Eberle will do exactly nothing to help them win more games than last year

Two scenarios.

Islanders make a decent trade.

Avs make a stupid trade. I do not seeing Eberle as a smart addition for the Avs.

They've been rebuilding for nearly a decade. It's time to try and actually build a good roster rather than hoping 2mil a year journeymen +20 year old RFA's can somehow be a good team.

Intriguing. If Edmonton trades Eberle they'll be a bit thin at RW. Puljujarvi doesn't seem ready to make the jump to the NHL yet. Who do you think they'll target to fill that void?

Oshie.

Did the same thing last year. Trade Hall, sign Lucic.

Colorado was the lowest scoring team in the NHL last year, Eberle helps with that, doesn't seem that odd to me. It also seems like Colorado is trying to parlay their offensive talent upfront to upgrade their blueline, if they get their big asking price for Duchene and can pay a moderate price for Eberle to replace a good chunk of the offense lost, it seems like a perfectly reasonable plan.
