Is this the year that the #1C/#1D rule of thumb is broken?

So if LA, Washington, Anaheim, Pittsburgh, and Edmonton all have 2 1Cs, which teams have 0? Carolina, Arizona, and who else?

Also I'm surprised you included Horvat and Turris but not Granlund.

Granlund played wing all year. It's generally what's coincided with his improved play

60 points is not a #1 C, sorry bro.

It kind of is, im usually very strict about #1C's, but the reality is 60 points is 1st line numbers these days. As long as you've shown you do it consistently, which Johansen has. In other words he's an established 60 point player, which is 1st line production = 1C.

60 points is where i would draw the line, if a line had to be drawn. So he's definitely a low-end 1C, but 1C nonetheless.

60 points is a #1 C. Not an elite #1C but certainly 1C in my eyes. And it's got less to do with points and more to do with how they are able to handle the role.

Ryan Johansen absolutely is a #1C.
