Next season kind of does have to be a development year sadly. I think it's too early to trade our highly drafted players, we need to see who plays well together.
But there's no successful team that has a top line of purely offensive players, it doesn't work. We need someone that battles on each of the top two lines. Eventually we need to decide between Yakupov or Eberle.
Also we need a couple quality veteran dmen in the top 4 to help develop guys like Klefbom and Nurse as well as eat up tough minutes.
And last we need a #1 goalie, someone that can steal some wins. Without that we'll never win playoff rounds.
So there's a lot of work left, and next year might be ugly while we see how things shake out with the forwards and decide on the core.
