Your forgetting a few key things here, Pittsburgh has the 9th highest shots for (31.6) wheras we give up the 2nd fewest highest shots (26.7). Also the Pens give up the 4th fewest shots against (26.1) whereas we give up the 2nd most shots against (36.5), if your going to paint a picture then you need to paint the entire thing not just bits and pieces to suit your argument.

it's funny, nobody ever talked about the leafs shots totals until they started winning.

I won't be happy until this team 'clicks'. They are not playing to their full potential and really haven't played a full 60 minutes all year.

Where's save percentage then, speaking of complete pictures ;)

They were, in went to a shootout dude, and lets face it anytime you find yourself in that its a 50/50 crapshoot, so yes we were lucky to beat the Devils.

No more lucky to beat them then they were unlucky to lose to the Canes, Avs and Bruins. I don't remember seeing that creep into your half empty approach though.

This is not a fluke.

There is absolutely no way they can keep playing the way they have been and win in the long term. It's worked so far, but almost every game has been bailed out by stellar goaltending. Reimer and Bernier are great, but they aren't going to finish 1/2 for the Vezina. Save % will regress more towards their career #s and the shooting gallery will produce more goals against. It's inevitable... unless the team in front starts playing better.

I've omitted shot totals because they're irrelevant. We've proved that over the last 60 games.

I like our record. Hate the way we've played to get that record.

Discouraged by all the injuries, especially Bolland's.

We need another centre and a #2 D.
