Idk anymore with guys like Matthews and Mcdvaid ripping apart the league offensively, do you still think there is a case to be made to say Crosby is still the best ALL AROUND player?
I can see arguments for him not being number 1 but saying he's not even in the top 5 is being intentionally obtuseNo. He hasn't been for years.
The fact that it is debated every year means that there is a substantial amount of people who do not think he is the best.
He is an 80-90 point player with average defense (some on here act like he is Bergeron defensively). He is excellent, a top-5 player in the NHL but #1? No.

The thread is that way my friend~>Anyone have the patience to go through all of my old posts where I continuously say Tavares is a top 5 player every year since he came into the NHL? He is proving it now with actual talent around him. Zero reason he shouldnt be in the dynasty conversation with Crosby, Malkin, Toews, and Kane if the Isles gave him anything to work with.
Crosby is not even the best player on his own team anymore. He's arguably #3. So the answer is a resounding NO
Exactly this.I might take Crosby over anyone else including McDavid if i was to go into a long playoff run. But over the longhaul, McDavid has taken over as king.
Are you really going to argue that Kessel > Crosby?
I mean really?
