The graph is using 5v5 numbers

A bit better position but still out of top 10 (among top 50 forwards with highest TGF)

He's the #1 I'd take to win the Stanley Cup (for a deep cup run), so he's still #1 for me.

Can we stop this? When and where the **** did it start where people keep calling each other "my guy", is this the new "bro" or "dude"?
It’s slang from urban areas of New York. Been around for a long time, and naturally will find it’s way to the internet and impressionable kids.

Unlucky last few games. He’s been unreal for about a month now, last game aside.

Also maybe check out Dellow’s last piece.

I've seen it used in mafia movies and heard it in New York myself but lately it seems everyone on the internet is saying "my guy".

Definitely still in the top 5 conversation I'd say. It's a debate night in and night out at this point though.

I feel like this thread happens every year only for Crosby to go on an insane run, and then these threads get bumped and people get mocked. You'd think HF would learn to stop doing that, because it happens literally every single time threads like these get made, but I guess not.

This website tends to make a lot of threads based on knee-jerk reactions to small sample size, only for people to bump the threads and mock the takes.

No one is surprised that Crosby isn't among the top point producers righr now. That speaks volumes about how his stature has changed over the past couple of years.

Noone is surprised that had one of the best playoff runs of his era (based on PPG) last season either.

Over a season, probably not anymore. He seems to conserve energy at this point in his career for the playoffs. If you're talking over a short period of time (a game, a playoffs, a tournament) he absolutely is

Not really, he is 32 with 3 missed games and there are only 8 players in the top 32 over the age of 30.

Elite scorers slow down as they age for the most part.

He's on pace for the 2nd highest goal scoring season of his career and the 6th highest point total of his career.

He's never been outstanding (except his 2nd season), but he's always around top 5 in the league.

It is sad that there are still people out there who choose to embarrass themselves by thinking point total is what makes a good hockey player.

Crosby is the best in the game at the moment and will sit Top 5 of all time when all is said and done, and no one is going to come close to equaling him

It is a fair question.

There are 20 players averaging more points per game than he is this season. Last year he finished 13th.

It seems the only people who cling to a small sample size are the ones bringing up a 12 game sample from last Spring.

He isn't even in the top 30 for scoring. So, no.

Eh, he has a good two games and he's top five.

I think people should wait until the end of the season and see how it plays out.

Great possession numbers, well over a PPG, top five faceoff guy, if he had like five more points this thread wouldn't exist.

Over a season you dont think he makes his teammates better?... more to hockey than points and he brings all of it. Then when you need points the most he scores the most.
