Boy we just cant catch a break with injuries. Gudas out, Johnson is playing hurt, Salo looked pretty beat up yesterday, Flip may not be ready to go as soon as expected.

Guess the Olympic break didn't help as much as we had hoped...

We can't just catch a break...wait...actually that seems to be the main problem...

Filppula
C Valtteri Filppula will return to the lineup on Tuesday after missing four games and nearly a month of time with a non-displaced fracture in his ankle. After testing it several times the past few days, Filppula said there is enough strength in the ankle.

“It feels good and I’m excited,” said Filppula, second on the team with 20 goals and 41 points. “I haven’t played in a while and it’s good to get back.’’
Johnson
Johnson suffered a bruised left foot on Feb. 4 in Minnesota and has played through the injury. But Johnson did not take part in Tuesday’s morning skate and Cooper said he was unsure if Johnson would be able to play.
Gudas
D Radko Gudas, who left Sunday’s game with an apparent left leg injury, will sit out Tuesday and have an MRI when the team returns home on Wednesday to see if there is any damage that will keep him out of the lineup longer.

“I feel really good, not 100-percent, but we’ll wait to see what the doctor says when we get back home,’’ Gudas said. “Hopefully I’ll be able to get back as soon as possible.’’
Lindback
G Anders Lindback returned to the team following a two-game conditioning assignment in the minors to test the ankle he sprained Jan. 30 in Ottawa.

“Everything feels good; it was a good test in those two games,’’ said Lindback, who pitched a shutout in his first game and went 1-1 with Syracuse in the AHL.

Bumped into Radko Gudas after Sat game, said he felt good and hoped to play tonight; he's on the ice in regular colored jersey, good sign
No lineup changes for tonight, so Gudas is out again, Cooper said good chance for Thursday; Kucherov, Malone, Crombeen also scratched
Gudas seemed caught off guard when asked about missing tonight, said he was told might depend on how other Dmen were feeling, but also -->
--> said that Thursday is the next target date

I hope they sit Gudas until he's 100%. Something's been off with him for a while.

Another maintenance day for Steven Stamkos today, and Sami Salo not on the ice either, day to day with a lower body injury
Looks like Stamkos will be taking plenty of "maintenance'' days from here on out, may not skate most practices/morning skates
As far as Salo and Gudas, Cooper said both are questionable for Thursday #tblightning

Sami Salo (lower body) is day-to-day and is not practicing today.

Is that because of his leg? I mean if he can't skate every day why is he playing?

Games have to be tough on him. He's in preseason form right now while everyone else is in playoff form. I wouldn't worry about him missing some practices too much.
