Probably.
He is better then Russell. I had big hopes for Jones this year
How r your guys Covid numbers? We r getting hit hard now in NS. Very high case counts the last week. This stems from a Easter get together in Halifax. Family had people in from Ontario, didn’t isolate and they spread it like crazy

He provides a puck moving element at least as seen by that stretch pass to Connor against Montreal.

More or less about the same, 20-30 cases/day average. Not great by any stretch, hopefully with more people being vaccinated it will start to decline, but we will have more and newer variants rolling in via travel.

Pretty sure you're wrong.

You gotta watch this:

TSN Original: The Problem of Pain

Sport teams care about the team first, and longterm health of a player second.

Pretty sure I am not.

But OK the Internet Doctors and Concussion Specialists of HF Oil should treat all Oiler injuries from now on via this forum.

Thank you for clarifying that for me.

I smell a big win.

Won't be happy till I see Jets crying on ice and Ehlers being spanked and Pionk flattened like a pancake, again.

Is Schiefele still benched?

From Tippetts press thing today, sounds like he is a fan of McLeod. As I said before, play a strong two way game, do a little of everything, have size and work hard and Tippett will have all the time in the world for you

I saw that as well. Tippett mentioned multiple times that “he’s a strong two way player”.

I suspect Tippett will love what McLeod brings at both ends of the ice.

Meh. No thanks to Koekkoek. I mean no harm in giving him a shot. But based on what he was showing by the time he got hurt, he wouldn't be playing ahead of Jones or Russel for me on the left side.
Koekkoek was fine when he was playing third pairing minutes. When Tippett was forced to elevate him because everyone else was sucking, that's when his play started to suffer.

Kind of worrying. Theres no flu going around this year and hardly any colds either because of pandemic precautions. Nothings going around. I haven't contracted anything since 2019. Whats he got?

OT but this is he first time in a quarter Century that I skipped the Flu shot. Figured there was just no need whatsoever.

I haven't either, not one cold in 16 months, when I usually have three a year. Even Connor hasn't been sick so there must be nothing to transmit?

Food poisoning? That explains a lot.

Oh, I mean all sports teams were caught really wrecking players lives, and hiding that concussions actually did any long-term damage for decades.

But by all means. lets keep trusting them.

That is not what I am talking about whatsoever nor am I disputing that.

I was making light of the medical diagnosis’ that many posters were making about Khaira and saying in a joking manner that I trust the Oilers medical staff (one of whom I have known personally for many many years) to come up with the correct diagnosis, treatment and return to play protocol - which being a concussion is governed by the league and agreed to by the NHLPA - rather than let the HF Oil medical team take over.

Also this isn’t 1975 anymore.

Actually, its been widely reported on throughout the past year’s cold and flu season how the rates have dropped overall, while we’ve been in this pandemic. Probably because of much less social interaction ( people not going into work at offices), mask wearing, greater disinfection and so forth.

While COVID-19 is Raging, Flu Cases Remain Unusually Low

So, how are the playoffs expected to work when teams start having to cross the border to play?

Does the NHL have an agreement with the governments already?

I seen a stat on Twitter about McDavid:

Scoring chances with him on the ice: +88

Scoring chances without: -188

Canadian teams will have to use an American City as their home base once it gets to the conference finals. Unless it's the Leafs who go to the the conference finals, in which case the league will have one week breaks for teams to quarantine coming back from the States so that the Leafs can still use their own rink and have their own cushy home amenities.

Checked the data several times. There were negligible outbreaks of flu this season. In Alberta we're talking ZERO found or confirmed.

'Hasn't been able to spread:' Still no flu cases recorded in Alberta this season | Edmonton Journal

There's still been illness even if not influenza or Covid. Our family has had to go for tests a few times and it wasn't ever COVID

My oldest had a really bad sore throat two weeks ago and she was tested for Covid and Strep but both negative.

Understanding that even during the peaks our positivity rate is typically only about 10%, that suggests to me a large percentage if not most people who have gotten sick this year don't actually have Covid, as I'd suspect a decent portion of the people getting tested are doing so because they've had symptoms.
