I got to thinking about this straight to IR thing and I'm curious if it has more to do with roster spots with the road trip than extent of injury.

that's what Im thinking... concussion protocol is one week minimum, and so is the minimum time on IR, so might as well free up the roster spot.

So an exercise in positivity- when everyone is back and solid what does the team look like to everyone? I'm thinking

9-92-38
33-12-18
56-63-51
55-19-15

59-76 (I wish)
14-4
2-52

What do you guys think?

You don't break up 51-12-10 until they are no longer effective

I personally want to see
9-92-18
46-33-38
51-12-10
55-19-15

But once everything settles out I think we will see, if healthy

9-92-38
33-12-18
Salomaki/Vet Trade pickup-19-15
55-19-51

I don't think Ribeiro has much longer.

Why no Ribs? He's played pretty good, it's not like Aberg is a better option. We need all the offense we can get.

TBH I think he is either hurt or just done. This is the final year of his contract, he should be pushing harder than ever if he had plans on playing another year after this one. He's either decided this is it and is just trying to get through, or I think the guy is hurting.

I don't think Lavi benches him otherwise. In either case you can't rely on that if your plan to win in the playoffs.

Wow, did he fall quick. Don't think he's done or hurt but Lavy tries to wake the team up with more energetic players.

If I may ask, who is the go to guy on the PP with Josi and Subban injured?

Ekholm or Ellis?

Well, Ek has had 8 pts since Subban went down. Sure, some of that has been even-strength play, but it's reflective of him elevating his O-game. But for tonight - it's Hunt, because our new guys make a splash.

Six hours old. Some people have jobs.

Obviously the coach and GM agree he doesn't belong in the NHL at this moment.

Maybe this will be his wake up call.
He's 20. Time is running out. Probably trash if he doesnt start quickly scoring 60 points. HURRY UP!!!

It is actually a good thing and he is 20 years old. Has had plenty of opportunity to stick but he is not ready. He was played up and down the lines as well. It is better to allow players to get ready before throwing them into the fire. Many thought he was an elite talent and could make the jump, well thats just not the case. He still has the potential to be a great NHL player but Poile and Lavi were wrong to put him in a top 6 position at the first of the year. He was put there to score goals not to be a play maker.

This is the best thing for Fiala if fans in Nashville like it or not.

For how you talked him up and he can't preform like nylander Larkin or pastrnak than sure.

I fogort there's posters here smarter than the coach and GM. Monday morning quartbacking here.

Again I never said he was a bust. I just don't buy the hype and again if can't play top six then where does he fit in?

Since he isn't injured (because he played in Charlotte tonight), he doesn't fit in this thread. He will be fine, he just needs a little more time.

Drake, you are too funny! Sixty points, really?

I think he fits in above Wilson and Smith. I would have Forsberg, Neal, Arvidsson, Johansen ahead of him.

I think the send down had more to do with just trying to get him some confidence. He's doing alot of right things, just pressing a little too hard when he shoots.

not sure if its ben mentioned but saw a blurb on The Score app that said Josi was out until at least after the ASG... so thats pretty much gotta be a concussion, I would think
