Individual KHL players' salaries

I was wondering what some of the individual players' salaries were. It'd be great if there was a site for this like capgeek.com, where you can just look up any- and everyone in the league, but from what I can gather no such site or even official information exists. So if any of you guys know of individual salaries, please post them here. Any and all info is appreciated, from the obvious stars, such as Kovalchuk, Radulov, Babchuk etc., to the occasional fourth-liner. Seriously.

If some of you know, for example, salaries for five or ten players on Amur or whatever, post them here. It'd be great to get a list, even if partial, for all teams. If possible, maybe list a source. If its hearsay, that's fine, just say that it is, so that we know.

Oh, and I guess I'm also particularly interested in salaries of European goalies playing in the KHL, such as Kovar, Salak etc.

At the evening I'll post what I've gathered during the years with regards to Dinamo Riga salaries. :)

In cases like Riga, where you can easily hold on to local players and your budget isn't that impressive, most bottom half players receive KHL minimum salary, which isn't that great, and obviously far from the ~700k USD received in the NHL. I don't remember exactly, but I think it didn't even reach 100k USD per season.

Medvescak's president Gojanovic stated in an interview that max. yearly fee is and for the forseeable future will be around 200k-250k USD. For example Cheechoo last year had that contract...also i read somewhere when Mark French left to Calgary Hitmen, he payed a buyout fee from his pocket and it was mentioned his salary was also 200k

Zinovyev makes 4.7 million USD a year?

Had been making.. And what can I say, he seemed to be worth it back when he signed that contract.

Other than that infamous list which I suspect is a bit inaccurate at times one new one is Malykhin's 1 mil p/y with Ak Bars. But again, nobody really confirmed it and it seems kinda cheap so here you have it - guessing game.

Actually I saw Medvedev's interview where he talked about making salaries public and how there's nothing wrong with it (in case you didn't know for whatever reason talking about thing like salary is a huge taboo in Russia). So I think at some point in time they might make all that public.

Well, more or less, it's a taboo anywhere in Europe. Players obviously are against making these numbers public just for a sheer fact of privacy and it also makes life easier. Just look how quickly media jumps on the backs of underperfoming well-paid players in NA?

I guess it and money talks of all kinds are more or less of a taboo everywhere in the world I guess get the feeling they are nowhere quite as big as in Russia. Especially for people in public arena which hockey players kinda are.

However, sure, I'd agree there's really no merit for that on the players' part and even club's part. It's just for fans and the media and since fans and media aren't really a big force in Russian hockey we may be waiting for a while for that to happen.

Do that! ;)

I know that youngsters in Lev Praha get around 8.000 EUR/month.
Which youngsters are you talking about?

Awesome, thanks for the list.

Finnish taxation data is public information so in November 2015 we'll get some exact numbers. Of course, the hockey season is split between two years so there's still some space for speculation.

It took them only 5 years.. Yeah, I guess man who pay the bills there is not the smartest guy...

Well it was a 5-year contract, hats off to whoever pays the bills for just riding bad contract out rather than coming up with some fake excuse, terminating the contract and leaving the player out on his ass Russian style.

Atas, I think his price tag has changed a lot over the years and you, being an Ak Bars fan, should know that better than anybody.

Except for the players playing KHL, since they are not taxed here. Domestic player's salaries only will be known.

If you employ a person for a lot of money, and he don't do what he should, it's legit to terminate the contract or lower his wage.

I understand what you are trying to say.. there are many cases where contract was terminated without reason (for example Stana in last year), but this is not the case.

The Jokerit players are taxed in Finland and AFAIK they are KHL players so I'm not sure what you are saying.

It was just a statement about what he can ask for now. If anyone is intrested at all. And I like the fact. He always was a stupid diva. Time to reap what he sowed.
