The Good:

Benson-Mittelstadt-Greenway again. That Greenway pass was great stuff, his pressure lead to Mitts goal.
The top line offensively all over the Rangers.
Quinn finishing.
Luukkonnen from about the middle of the game on made some excellent stops.
EJ standing up for RJ.
Shot mentality? Nah, shot block mentality.

The Bad:

Defending on odd-man rushes remains a weakness.
Seeing-eye pucks for 2GA.
Quinn's stick loss on the GWGA set the table there.

The Ugly:

NHL level officiating remains a massive, stinking turd.

G:
Good game overall
Came back down 2
UPL was great from the EJ penalty to the end of regualtion
Greenway makes this team better
Seeing so many blocked shots tonight was nice

B:
Dahlin during our only PP.
UPL on the GWG.
Not burying our chances in OT

Ugly:
The officiating was lopsided but we got a PP with under 3 mins left in the game and couldn't get anything out of it.

Again: WHERE IN THE HELL WAS THIS THE FIRST 30 GODDAMNED GAMES?????

Couple thoughts - this is almost a full forward lineup now and they may have finally realized their lacks play has put their coach in the line of fire from the fans (and perhaps then from above). Shy of putting some shock collars on a few of their players and zapping them when not playing hard, what else are the staff supposed to do? The players had to make up their minds to actually put in the effort.

Mike, they didn't care about the coach then. They're really matured in the past few months.

The refs really screwed us in this game. Sure feels like they got their feelings hurt by the Sabres calling them out in the 2nd.

They were ignoring easy calls against the Rangers in the first too. Unlike most Sabres games this season, these dickwad refs put in a full 60 minute effort to screw us.

The coach completely changed how they played going into this season and literally admitted as such. It was a catastrophic mistake that needed to be corrected sooner but wasn't.

Eh, they asked them to actually defend and most of them still didn't do it.

Honestly I can't go nuts over a mistake in a 3v3 OT because the format pretty much guarantees them.

They’re not playing any levels better. They just have a lineup healthy enough to take advantage of other team’s mistakes. they still are playing bad hockey.
They had the better of play against the best team in the East on their home ice. If we played this bad the first 30 games we'd be in the thick of the playoff race.

Think UPL getting too much hate on the OT goal.

If he doesn't come out ..Zibby has a straight line to the goal

I think UPL had a largely good game. I do think he made a bad error on the OT goal but it was compounded by Quinn losing his stick is having to skate off to get it. Threw everything out of whack.

Felt like the top line did a lot offensively but couldn't get the goal. It would've been great, though if they can play like they did tonight against others, the goals will come. They had a pile of chances.
It's a little too late now for them to start caring and trying. Now all they are doing is screwing us from a decent draft pick.
