Thought this was interesting.
In 2009 Malkin was 1st and Crosby 3rd.
Than in 2018 Malkin was 4th and Crosby 10th - its the only other time they came close.
Considering they are both top 3 players of generation - and primarily point getters - i think its pretty surprising. I knew they hadnt both had their best seasons at same time - but top 9-10 scoring isn't exactly a high bar for players of their ilk.
Is anyone else surprised? Does that change/impact in anyway the perception of how much they benefited each other - at least for regular season success.
