Marleau got 6.25 millons for 3 years at age 38.

Why should Kovalchuk take less? He was always way better and is 3 years younger.
His numbers in the KHL were great last year as well.

So I expect at least 6.5 millions for 2 to 4 years.

Signing Marleau for three years is a mistake. NYR will not make that kind of a mistake.

As far I know Ilya can talk to 31 NHL teams - why are u guys so certain he will sign for NYR of all franchise who are rebuilding?

I`m not sure what he is worth consider he is soon 35 in some weeks, and he is kind of slow player even though he can shot the puck, and his last NHL season was 2012-13.
