I truly believe that Shanahan is talking to everyone in hockey, and putting together a very short list of GM & Coach names. When one of those names becomes available, THEN, and only then, will he make a change - regardless of how the Leafs are doing in the standings. He wants to bring in people that can be here for 10 years+ like they have in Detroit - and he won't make a change for the sake of it - but rather simply micro manage the guys he has until that point.

Any self respecting Leafs fan would disagree with you, people like you are what's wrong with this fan base. You irrational dislike for Phaneuf proves it.

Fan loyalty should be a privilege, not a right.

And this franchise lost that privilege a long long time ago.

Lets hope so, but just because he came from Detroit doesn't automatically make him great.
