if the oilers lose - "hahha, oilers still suck. Even our split squad is better than thiers"

if the oilers win - "hahha, oilers fans setting up parade route because they finally beat us and it's pre-season"

It'll be interesting to see if we continue to see McD-Yak put together. From reports it seemed Yak was doing better there than Purcell was. We'll see if they can generate some chemistry together.

So Nilsson has a hell of a game and according to the Flames announcers made the difference - no star for him...typical :shakehead

Yup. ****ing Oilers idiot web team.

And people wonder why we ***** and moan about these games not being televised.

Could be the Oilers, but it's possible it was more to do with the NHL itself.

Anyway, I'll take a crappy feed of an Oilers win vs. a perfect feed of an Oilers loss 11 times out of 10.

He was creating chances down low and using his speed. There was just a lack of effectiveness in the Flames zone by his line. The timing and passing was off by everyone. In the third a few of the chances he generated were finally buried. Not spectacular, but a real solid first "real" NHL game.

Strangely enough he started looking better after Hall got hurt, but I still think Drai deserved 1st star.

Yak and Drai, say hello to your new linemate.

Whoever it is, they can go **** themselves for not being able to put on a freaking stream for this many years.

In the Calgary game, Nilsson was excellent, going to make for a very interesting goalie competition. Looks huge in net and made himself big.
Pouliot-RNH-Eberle was dominant to no surprise, not sure why some people wanted that line broken up, that's going to be the #1 line this season.
Reinhart looked pretty good. The skating seemed fine and he was physical which was nice to see, threw a pretty big hit in the 2nd.

Apparently there was a game in Edmonton too, but all I saw was 2 chicks on the screen. Usually that's all good but it's freaking hockey season, need more puck.
Need Hall to be healthy, that's a big early blow if he misses significant time.

Least those two chicks were decent to look at, before the stream froze :D

Winning pre-season games is meaningless.

Seeing both Oilers teams not quit when down a goal was a nice difference though.

 pretty much.

This was supposed to be a blowout, Calgary iced their strong roster and still didn't pull out a win. I know it's preseason, it doesn't mean anything but on paper, Calgary should have won this. Always nice seeing Calgary lose, especially when it's from us...twice..in the same day
