Hydro Quebec to the 450:

Just a reminder, pay your bill as you got electricity during this ice storm.

People need to be more independent. If possible, have another source of heating than electricity.Have at least a month supply of food and water.Make sure you can cook your food and light your house without electricity.Have some basic tools and a first emergency kit too. Also try to find a way so that you can charge your phone without electricity, at least for a while.

The heating is trickier depending where you live, but the rest is affordable and easy to do.

This is not just to help yourself but the community as a whole. If more people did this it would ease the pressure during a crisis. No zombie fight at the grocery store for the last few items if everyone has a month supply. Then the community can intelligently find a solution.

Montreal
Nous, dans le nord, c'était le 27 octobre.

It wasn't even Halloween FFS. And we got some more snow this week, with horrible wind.

To be fair, in Montreal, the November snow melted fast and we had no snow throughout December.

January and February were shitty with lots of snow and ice. March was alright and April is starting to look a lot like last April. Lets hope May brings in some heat.
