Oddly. He took a paycut to stay this year. To be fair i was shocked both Andersen and Raanta resigned given they gave a 4 year deal to Koochie last year. Not many teams keep 3 goalies.

Don’t forget before that game 7 against the Rangers he was 6-0 at home in the playoffs too, despite the fact that he hasn’t played that many games in a row since he was in his 20s.

He’s a back up making next to no money and despite his faults he’s done way more than he has any right to be expected to.

I know that relative to other NHL salaries $1.5m might be "next to no money", but it did give me a chuckle. I think it just highlights how we've become a two tier society with respect to wealth, and the big flaw with 100% pure capitalism (don't get me wrong, it's still better than other pure systems).
