Again...I'd rather read quotes like that after the season but I think this is bang on. As great as the the players themselves were and even though Waddell added the missing pieces, this is Rod's team. Niederreiter said to Swiss media pretty much from day 1 how much he likes playing for a true legend like Rod who knows what he's talking about...especially compared to Boudreau. Nino also praised Rod's system a lot. I think they all respect Rod a lot for what he's achieved as a player and bought into his system and philosophy.

Last time the Canes were in the playoffs I didn't quite have a license yet. Now I have a 2 year old. A lot has changed.

I looked at I pricing for games 3 and 4, would love to make the trip for a playoff game having never been to PNC. Flights are horribly expensive though which might kill that plan. One day though!
