I think we won Richters and leetch’s. I should remember I was at both lol. I believe Richters was against Minnesota
Nah we lost Richter’s. I was at Richter’s too, Dunham laid a dud, it was either 4-0 or 4-1 loss to Minnesota.

14 year old me was beyond disappointed that they sucked so bad on my childhood hero’s jersey retirement night.

When you realize after they trade Hayes and Zucc, they are going to have Vesey, Fast, Lettieri, Vlad, Nieves, Strome and two other forwards from Hartford in the lineup

Oh it was only a one goal game? Lol my memory skews it because I was so disappointed.

Just looked and Dunham gave up 4 on 22 shots. I remember being so mad at him playing so poorly on Richter’s night lol

What elite talent did we display?

If elite talent is over 1 ppg then,

Jagr for like two seasons. '06, '07
Gaborik for like one. '10
Nylander for one. '07
Lindros for one. '02
Gretzky '97 '98
Messier '94 '95 '96 '97
Leetch '96
Verbeek '96
Zubov '94

Outside of Messier in the cup years, the Rangers have not had consistent elite talent

Caught the second half of the game. My god — I don’t remember the last time we looked this lost. It looked like men (at 70% capacity) against boys (except Hank).

My favorite part of the night is when Glenn Healy looked at Richter and said "He's the best goalie this organization has ever had". So happy he said that, because I get sick and tired of hearing the younger fans who think Lundqvist is the best. He's not and never will be.
Give me a break bro. Richter is my childhood hero and favorite player ever. Amazing money goalie who was prone to softies but made incredible acrobatic saves. Quick is very similar to him. Injuries cut his career short and maybe if the Rangers were better later in his career he could’ve had a better career.

But come on. Lundqvist is one of the best goalies of all time in the league and unquestionably the best goalie to ever play for the Rangers.

How about we had a good goalie who backstopped his amazing team to a cup and ended the drought and all that. And then we were lucky enough to have a guy come along who was the best goalie of his generation afterwards. We should be grateful for that.

Sorry, but you, and healy are wrong.

Lundqvist is a first ballot HoF goalie, when does Ritcher get in?

Your comment was silly and foolish.

Look at that list. U answered my question.

Most of those weren’t elite just had good years and the others we had at the end

We are a sad franchise

McQuaid being hyped up by Joe during the game. Hopefully some GM’s were watching. Hoping for a second expecting a third . Have a bad feeling everyone else is gonna go down to the TDL wire

To add to this, Lundqvist is literally on Tom Brady levels of fitness and self care. He can easily play to 40 at least, maybe not all as a 60-70 game starter but it is possible. On all accounts I've heard he is very in tune with keeping himself good to keep playing for as long as it takes.
