I can get behind this. The #1 way to create accountability is to prove it by coaching. I can definitely get behind this.

I still say with this PP they need someone from outside the organization to take a fresh look at it. Someone like a Joey Mullen (who I don't think is coaching now). It just needs to start from scratch.

I also wonder if some 5 on 5 tactical adjustments are in order. I really don't KNOW per se, but one thing I go back to is 2018, about a month to go in the season, Trotz knew the Caps wouldn't have a chance to win the cup playing the way they were and adjusted their defensive game (pushed back, clogged the neutral zone a little more), even though it's not what he'd been coaching over his years in DC.

I want to see Sully make a point and bench someone unexpectedly when they make a stupid error. Don't care if it's Sid, G, or Letang. Send that message and get the attention of the boys.

Rodrigues will feel the burn.

I’d be down for every PP f*** up ending up in no more PP time for the game. Send out L4 and 3 D for all I care.

Sully: "We can't chase a mistake with another mistake"

AT&T Sports: Shows Letang chasing a bad pass all the way to Washington's goal line.

THIS makes me happy to see. They know the errors. This is coachable and EASILY fixable. That does give me a lot of faith. This seriously is so easily fixable.

Im not going to says its fixable until they do it against a playoff team. Color me skeptic, but they have been in a bad funk for awhile now.

Watch the pendulum swing with them playing overly safely today.
It will even out in the next few days and then they will play better...

I would not be opposed to a full on trap. Go one way or the other. Don't stay in the middle.

It won't be these guys. It would be a receipe for losing the room.

I don't think it would lose the room. But I completely understand the chance that it does.

Well look... I am positive. The errors on that ice are fixable. Sully recognized them. Hell... AT&T even recognized them. Let's go Pens! Let's build.

I'll be slightly on delay so i'll catch up with you fools in the 2nd period. LET'S GO PENS! Don't forget... this is entertainment. :)

I don't really care if we win or lose. I want effort and a glimpse of structure, something to build upon.

How about Sully make a point and bench one of the three defensemen who regularly cost us games with their ineptitude and actually dress the guy who passes both the eye test and the stats test?

Getting really hard to keep going to bat for Sully when he's intent on making the wrong lineup choices, putting us a step or two back every single game before the puck even drops.

It's not like I'm advocating that we call up Poulin and play him with Sid or something. Play the guy who has been better than more than half our blueline corps all season long.

Major props to @Ginger Papa for the GDT. It totally slipped my mind.

I read the page from the bottom up... not really sure why, but I saw all the gif's before the posters name and I was thinking to myself, this is definitely a @Ginger Papa GDT...

I look up more and huzzah, it's ginger

Just checked out that Pettersson and my boy Teddy are the only ones who hasn't missed a single game for Pens this season.

So, I'm starting a pool:

When does @ColePens go to Defcon-1 over something dumb the Pens do and start a HFBoards Globalthermonuclear War?

I've got between 4:00 and 8:00 of the 1st period 4 minute block.

Anyone can play. And, if you win . . . you win absolutely nothing but the joy of knowing you predicted when @ColePens finally and forever would fully and completely lose his **** once and for all. :D

Guys like Letang have been playing hockey their entire lives. He keeps making idiotic plays over and over again. Barring being benched, there's nothing any coach can do about it.

Well, the coaches can slap him upside the head.
