Most of the time between 4-10pm, I'll have a game on if there's one to watch. I especially like it for when I'm in the kitchen.

Generally, I'll watch whatever game carries the most fantasy interest for me.

Since it's Sportsnet almost never unless it's playoffs

This might be a factor in why I rarely watch games other than Leaf games as well. TSN games have a great laid back vibe where it seems like the crew is having fun, and it's a little infectious. The Hockey Night in Canada games on CBC have a wonderful pageantry and spectacle to them. Sportsnet just turns me off, it's such a stiff corporate atmosphere.

I watch what I think will be the best match up of the night, doesn't matter which channel it's on, CI, NBCSN, NHLNETWORK, etc

I used to watch national broadcasts, but hardly ever do anymore. Mainly because I cut the cord, and my TV watching overall is way down from where it used to be.

I have the Premium option so I'll catch a few minutes of random out of town games every now and then. Otherwise, nah. Not till the playoffs.

I'll watch bits to see a player I'm curious about, or to watch a great player. I enjoy watching Crosby. Funny enough, Ovi not so much. I like watching Hedman, weirdly enough.

I like watching bits of the Leafs, Wings, and Habs because their sweaters are so iconic and beautiful. NYR ones were never any good, IMO. I don't need to see the Hawk's sweaters anymore....they are in my nightmares.

Pretty rarely. If it's playoffs, I'll watch a number of games, but during regular season it's really only if it's a team with players I like (e.g. I'll watch Penguins games for Crosby) or at least have strong interest in (Leafs games for Matthews).

Watch at least 1 game a day, both games on HNIC. If the raptors or jays aren't playing i'll tune into another teams game

I have Centre Ice, TSN and Sportsnet. Games on every day/night. Pens/Dallas/Kings before anyone else then I look at the match-ups/players involved and go from there.

How often do you watch a nationally televised NHL game when your team is not playing? Or mention if you have the NHL package and watch tons of games--be honest!

Just out of curiosity, if there is a game on NBCSN (or TSN?) how often do you watch the games that are aired?

(Do our trade proposals or polls hold any merit/credibility if you aren't able to watch teams consistently?)

I catch bits and peices of games throughout the season. I can't recall watching any game from front to back this year though if it doesn't involve my favourite team.

I have NHL GameCenter LIVE, and am not subject to any blackouts.

I always try to catch Sabres and Sharks games, of course. My permanent soft spot for the Blue Jackets, and their long-suffering fans, is finally paying off this season. Beyond that, I try to fit in as many Leafs and Oilers games as possible, because their personnel and playing styles produce such consistently enjoyable hockey.

Because of my commute and other obligations, I don't start watching until the ETZ games have been on for an hour or so. I watch the 1st period of a 7 PM start, fast forwarding through all commercials and the 1st period break, then watch the 1st period of a game started at 7:30, and repeat until both games end. Fast-forwarding eliminates all the intermission score spoilers. Then it's time for a Sharks game, if they're at home. You can watch a LOT of hockey that way.

For those of you trying this at home for the first time ... Don't underestimate the stamina and dedication required, and do not, under any circumstances, attempt this without an understanding spouse.

Decently regularly, but I also have NHL.tv so I often watch games on that versus national broadcasts if I'm more interested in the games available there versus the tube.
