Bruins, 1.

Growing up playing hockey though, I was a huge Lidstrom and McCarty fan, so I'd be lying if I said I didn't celebrate the Red Wings cups...

Well since the thread says "Cups" I will say that my team, Winnipeg, has won two Avco Cup World Championships in my lifetime - '77 and '79. I wasn't born for their first, which also means I don't remember one second of these wins either.

The Stars won it a handful of years after leaving (thanks for that), and the Wild have never won it. I'm to the point now that it doesn't bother me anymore, it's just the way Minnesota sports are. It's our nature. I know a lot of Blackhawks fans personally (and they're not the only fans that do this), and when I rip Chicago teams, they throw the cups in my face. I'm like, "C'mon, guys, do you also make fun of ice for being cold? You need to do better."

Now, if we ever win a cup, I'll be in the streets celebrating, because it's a wholly unexpected victory.

Hab fan here and I've been alive for 2.

I was 4 when they won the first cup in '86 so it doesn't really count.

I started cheering for the Habs in '89 when they lost in the finals to Calgary and had the pleasure of cheering them on to the cup in '93. I still remember eating Jolly Ranchers and watching Desjardins score his hattrick goal for the OT winner in game 2 in a hotel room during our grade 6 class trip.

Coyotes have none.... My NHL, NBA, NFL, MLB, NCAA football, and NCAA basketball teams all have a combined 2 titles, both of them coming when I was 1 year old, and 5 years old.

So I've never been able to enjoy a championship. Arizona sucks.

I cheer for two teams. The first team has no Cups in 42 years of activity, and the second team is the most decorated franchise in NHL history. Being born in 1996, I have seen exactly 0 Cups from either team.

Born in 1949, so 18.

Eat your heart out... :innocent:

Amazing, what is the first that you remember?

My great grand-father is in his 90s so he has all of you beat.

Unfortunately he doesn't understand how computers or internet works, so he misses on the opportunity to come here and gloat about it :biglaugh:

Only been on this side of the pond since 2013 but I've attached myself to Dallas, LA & Pittsburgh so I'm at 2.

On a side note, I wonder how many posters here were "made" due to a Cup win :laugh:
