Matthew is probably a bit better than Draisaitl. But Draisaitl is a hell of a lot closer to Matthews than either of them are to McDavid.

Matthews is in a fairly large group of very good young forwards in this league. None of them are close to McDavid as of yet.

he was literally +20 on a team with -29 with probably the worst PP unit in the league he still led the league in scoring by a fair amount while breaking 40 goals as well. Crosby was neutral 0 on a team that was +22 on the season and clearly and a dominate PP yet wasn't challenging for a scoring title.
