I found a random sopressata sausage in my apartment yesterday. Might have that instead of the hot dogs I've been having. But do I really want to risk it?

Like under the couch random? You bought it over the weekend and forgot about it in the fridge? You woke up and it was tied to my ceiling fan, slowly twirling counterclockwise? It was floating in the bathtub?

Details!

Cured sausages don't go bad very quickly, that's kind of why they were invented. But didn't you have vermin problems earlier? Those two might be related. ;)

Hot dogs are absolutely amazing. And i am a simple, "beef frank on processed white bread" kind of guy. To my chagrin I had no onion to dice and spread on them last night, but I still had the other three condiments I consider absolutely essential to enjoying one: yellow, red, and (sweet) green. And some Cape Cod chips to turn my lowly apartment into a picnic at the fairgrounds.

I kind of shot my bolt yesterday, but i feel kind of obligated to cook another couple tonight.

Anyway, roll on baby:

I was lucky (or idiotic) enough to eat at the legendary Hot Doug's in Chicago two years ago before it closed down. The line was a few hundred people deep and the wait took over 3 hours to get inside. The elk hot dog on the left was $14 or some **** like that. Was it worth it? I think that the long wait and popularity of the place made my taste buds think the food was much better than it was.

That doesn't even look appetizing to me. I'm much more of a hot dog purist. Chili, cheez whiz, kraut, ketchup, mustard, relish, and onions are the only thing you'l see me put on a hot dog. This is what I love

Saturday was the first tine since the tampa series where we didn't have dogs at some point on a game day, I thought I could branch out and do grilled Andouille sausage.

It didn't work.

Back to dogs tonight
