Allen is a great player but it was a numbers game in his case. we had a strong top 4 and Allen deserved better than to be on the 3rd pairing.

Sutherby Signs In St. Louis

Blues president John Davidson announced the signing of center Brian Sutherby to a 2 year, 3M dollar contract this afternoon. Brian will be paid 1.5M per season for the next two years.

We caught up with Brian as he flew in from his home province in Edmonton, Alberta to get a comment of his signing.

"I am very pleased to be signed on here in St. Louis. They have a great organization coming along and I am just pleased to be a part of this team. They have a strong top 6 and I can help round out this team on the third line, which has been my role and I play it well. This team is going to have great success and I want to be a part of it."
