What I'm digging about this team right now is that we have a collection of talent where quite literally anyone can score a goal. Look at the roster - would anyone on that current defense surprise you when they score? How about in the bottom 6, which has been where offense has went to die since we've lost our dynamic 3rd line of the Cup years. We have a team that can score as a collective group, and not one where 4-5 guys are counted on for the bulk and we pray to the hockey gods that someone else is there to pick up the slack.

Totally. Handcuffing yourself with 3 of the worst skating, worst offensive players in the league every single night right off the top like we did in '13-'14 will do that to your roster. Never mind that we treated AHL journeymen like manna from heaven whenever injuries did hit (insert Porter joke here).

We were old, complacent, and slow. Now we're young, hungry, and fast.

Hagelin was not brought in to be on the Power Play. If he didn't score a single PP point I wouldn't care. We don't need him to be a PP specialist. We need his speed. We need him to be the perfect 3rd wheel compliment to Geno and Kessel (or now Bones and Kessel) and he's done that. Not crazy about the $4mil but...I'll live with it.
