Lol even Biron and the Buffalo broadcast thought Seney, Zetterlund and Smith have been the Devils standouts.

If Seney and Zetterlund continue to play like this, I wouldn't have an issue with those two fighting for an NHL spot, and if Smith keeps playing well, give him 10 games up to see how he does.

Smith, seney and McLeod all looked really good. sharangovich was pretty solid as well. Zetterlund got better over the second half and showed that one shot scorer ability he possesses. Studenic was decent in spurts.

McLeod reminded me why I'm so down on him at the end of the game. He shows flashes, but has no hockey sense. Q, I just don't see much there.

That said, Buffalo is freaking loaded and despite Blackwood's best efforts, the Devils kept it close. Their goalie made a couple saves and Blackwood didn't.

Dont understand how people are saying he wasn't. Had some serious jump and that alone stood out. And was pretty tenacious on puck pursuit. Doesn't have great hockey sense or puck skills, but his speed causes a lot of stress on the opposition.

sounds like he could be a good pker but not what you want from a mid first rounder. granted i didn’t watch the game but sounds like the same old mcleod. still needs to learn how to play against teams where speed alone doesn’t get you far

Blackwood was in a tough spot. Obviously, the defense was terrible. He made some great saves, but the first goal was horrible. He had position and a clean look. I also felt the Olafson goal was week and also happened to go glove side. To make it worse, we all had to hear about Olafson’s “laser wristshot” for the rest of the game.

Our D was rough in this one, and we were pretty careless on the PP, but we skated with them all game.

To me the difference was Dahlin. He's a monster.

The Devils players all looked very uncomfortable on that ice. They all fell constantly early on and then nobody leaned into their turns the rest of the game.

Guess I'll wait for the replay once it's put up on the Devils website. Good on those who put up some highlights here for us that were blacked out.

Yeah, it's an easy excuse to blame the ice, but that was some of the worst ice I've ever seen. McLeod tried to make a big move in the neutral zone early on and fell right on his ass. And if he was the only one, it'd be on him, but I saw so many other guys eat it too.

I like McLeod but he had horrible game. I feel like the wind could knock him down. Plus, there were multiple times in the game where he skated the puck into defenders and his shot selection was horrible.
