I had one defiant oilers poster tell me how campbell was a great signing before the start of the season. My exact rebuttal was this “your team may or may not do well, but I assure you, if by some define intervention your oilers go to the finals or win the Stanley cup, I guarantee you, it won’t be jack campbell as the starter. So you better hope skinner isn’t the next binnington, that’s your only hope”. He scoffed and said we’ll see. I guess we are seeing….that I was right

last time I checked it's November and the playoffs are like 5 months away.

I mean 20 games in, that's a lot more reasonable take then all the dolts who bumped the Murray thread after 1...

But Campbell still has time to turn it around. Clearly proved last season he's a very hot or cold goaltender.

I think Samsonov has the best chance to be good. I don't see him as elite, but potentially a solid #1. Moves well, is quick, needs to refine technique, which can be done.

Campbell: mentally weak, can't take the pressure.

Murray: always injured, if he gets his 4th concussion in 4 years, that could be it. Looks slower than his first couple years, weak glove gets exploited.

Certainly a take. Come into a thread say you are just glad your team doesn't have any of the goalies and then use Sam Montembeault as your argument. The guy hasn't had a year with a save percentage that hit the 9's ever. So I mean...if you aren't buying the start from Murray or Samsonov but ole Sammy boy is the one eh?

Another Leaf poster brought in the Habs goalie trying to make fun of them.
I just proved that the leafs goaltending hasn't been any better .
He just responds back with nothing that has to do with either goaltenders.
I wouldn't want either of the Leafs goalie in this discussion nor do i care about Montembeaul either.
I wouldn't want any of the 3.
In fact i wouldn't want any of the Habs or Leafs tenders if i had the choice.

It's not that Campbell is necessarily going to be great. But both Murray and Samsonov are disastrous. It's quite possible that both will be sub .900.
