That's a pretty weak call. McCann is perfectly allowed to move the discarded stick away. It's only a penalty if he prevents McAvoy from picking it up. Given how far McAvoy was from it and that he wasn't actually moving hard towards it, it's pretty weak.

OV did that in their recent game against the Leafs and they didn't call him on that. Guess it depends on the ref, but it is a penalty.

What's with all the excuses? Only down 2 with 40 left to play. Have some faith in your team. Pens have been better so far.

Yea both teams are nearly in the same boat in terms of situations. I remember plenty of Bruins fans saying no excuses to lightning fans when the Lightning were on their 3rd in 4th.

When moving a stick that is not broken, no penalty shall be assessed as long as it does not interfere with the play and the player who lost said stick is not attempting to retrieve it, otherwise an interference penalty must be assessed.

Yah man it's a long season. Bs with points in 19 games like chill out with excuses. Pens were in Ohio last night and travelled home. Bs were home yesterday and traveled to Pitt.

The problem is a lot of Bruins fans took the Lightning game as a serious measurement of how good the team is. They put way too much stock into it. So now if the Pens win with the dominating performance they have been putting on, they are worried what people will say about their team.

Wow okay so Leafs got jobbed on their call that game. McAvoy cried when the stick was pushed maybe the ref was scared of facing consequences from Jacobs :sarcasm:

Bruins obviously due for a dud. If they score the next goal right back in it. They do need Pasta, DeBrusk, and Mojo to come back soon, though. Or at a minimum replace Stempniak with a warm body in Providence that was born post Reagan.

You're never as good as your best game and you're never as bad as your worst game.

You don't think the Bruins are good? I get you love to be the Felger of the boards, but at least try to come up with some new material instead of lumping the majority of Bruins fans into your neat little box just because it suits your jaded opinion.

Jets getting away with everything... Caps can't get away with a single thing... and even with the refs in their back pockets, the Jets looks like trash.
